On Friday night, the Boston Celtics are hosting the Indiana Pacers in Massachusetts. 

For the game, they will have one of their best players in the starting lineup, as Jaylen Brown has been listed as available.

The former Cal star is in the middle of another fantastic season with averages of 26.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals per contest in 61 games.  

He is also shooting 49.2% from the field and made the second All-Star Game of his career last month.  

Last year, Brown helped lead the Celtics to the NBA Finals for the first time since the 2010 season. 

This year, they are once again among the best teams in the league and are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 50-23 record in 73 games.  

The Celtics are just 2.5 games back of the Milwaukee Bucks for the first seed. 

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and an outstanding 26-9 in the 35 games they have hosted on their home floor in Boston.

Brown is in his seventh season in the NBA and has already been to the Conference Finals four times. 

As for the Pacers, they are the 11th seed in the east with a 33-40 record in 73 games. 

Over the last ten games, the Pacers have gone 5-5, and they are 14-23 in the 37 games they have played on the road away from Indianapolis. 

Last season, they missed the NBA Playoffs, and they are currently 1.5 games back of the final play-in tournament spot.
