Jaylen Brown's Updated Injury Status For Raptors-Celtics Game

Jaylen Brown has been ruled out for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics are hosting the Toronto Raptors in Massachusetts.

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as Jaylen Brown was a late addition to the injury report.

The former Cal star has been ruled out due to a finger injury.

Underdog NBA: "Jaylen Brown (finger) ruled out Friday."

Brown is in the middle of a sensational season with averages of 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 67 games.

The two-time NBA All-Star is also shooting 49.1% from the field and 33.5% from the three-point range.

Last season, he helped lead the Celtics to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010, and Brown has been to the Eastern Conference Finals in four of his first six seasons in the league.

Right now, the team is the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 55-25 record in 80 games.

They are 7-3 in their last ten games and a fantastic 30-9 in the 39 games they have hosted on their home floor.

As for the Raptors, they are 40-40 in 80 games, which has them as the ninth seed (one of the final two play-in tournament spots) in the Eastern Conference.

Over the last ten games, they are 6-4, but they have struggled on the road, going just 14-26 in the 40 games they have played outside of Canada.

Last year, the Raptors lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs after finishing as the fifth seed.
