UPDATE: Jayson Tatum's Current Status For Wizards-Celtics Game

Jayson Tatum is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics will host the Washington Wizards in Massachusetts. 

For the game, they could be without their best player, as All-Star forward Jayson Tatum is on the injury report.

Tatum has played in 48 games and is averaging 26.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range.  

The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 39-12 record in 51 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 125-117. 

In 36 minutes of playing time, Tatum had 20 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and one steal while shooting 8/21 from the field and 2/13 from the three-point range. 

Following the Wizards, the Celtics will visit Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat on Sunday afternoon in Florida. 

As for the Wizards, they are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 9-41 record in 50 games. 

They are 2-8 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a four-game losing streak. 

Most recently, the Wizards lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 114-106. 

Following the Celtics, they will host the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday evening.
