On Friday night, the Boston Celtics will be in Oregon to face off with the Portland Trail Blazers.

For the game, they could be without their best player, as Jayson Tatum is on the injury report.

The former Duke star is listed as questionable due to a hip injury.

Underdog NBA: "Jayson Tatum (hip) questionable for Friday."

Tatum is currently in the middle of another unbelievable season with averages of 30.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 65 games.

He's also shooting 45.9% from the field and 34.7% from the three-point range.

In addition to Tatum's stellar play, the Celtics are the second seed in the Eastern Conference, with a 48-22 record in 70 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and 22-13 in the 35 games they have played on the road away from Boston.

Last season, Tatum led the franchise to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010 (they lost to the Golden State Warriors in six games).

As for the Trail Blazers, they are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 31-38 record in 69 games.

They are in the middle of a four-game losing streak and are 3-7 in their last ten games.

At home, the Trail Blazers are 17-16 in 33 games hosted in Oregon.

Despite their poor record, the Trail Blazers are only 2.5 games behind the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder (who are tied for the ninth seed).

Therefore, there is still a chance they will make the play-in tournament.
