BREAKING: RJ Barrett's Updated Status For Raptors-Trail Blazers Game

RJ Barrett has been ruled out for Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the Toronto Raptors will play the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.     

For the game, the Raptors will be without one their best players, as RJ Barrett has been ruled out.   

Via Michael Grange of Sportsnet: "RJ Barrett is a late scratch for Raptors vs. Blazers due to illness."

Barrett has played in 52 games and is averaging 19.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest while shooting 48.8% from the field and 37.0% from the three-point range.   

The Raptors are the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 23-40 record in 63 games. 

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak. 

Most recently, the Raptors lost to Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns by a score of 120-113. 

Barrett had 23 points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block while shooting 9/16 from the field and 3/4 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Trail Blazers, the Raptors will play their next game on Monday evening when they visit the Denver Nuggets in Colorado. 

As for the Trail Blazers, they are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 17-45 record in 62 games. 

They have gone 2-8 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a three-game losing streak. 

Following the Raptors, the Trail Blazers will play their next game on Monday evening when they host the Boston Celtics in Oregon.
