Jimmy Butler's Injury Status For Thunder-Heat Game

Jimmy Butler is on the injury report for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Miami Heat will host the Oklahoma City Thunder in Florida.   

For the game, they will remain without their best player, as Jimmy Butler has been ruled out.  

The six-time NBA All-Star has missed each of the previous four games, so this will be his fifth straight out of the lineup.   

Via The Heat on Tuesday: "#OKCvsMIA INJURY UPDATE: Jimmy Butler (toe) has been ruled out of tomorrow night's game vs the Thunder."

Butler has played in 24 games this season and is averaging 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 46.4% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range.   

The Heat are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 21-15 record in their first 36 games. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Houston Rockets by a score of 120-113.  

Tyler Herro led the way with 28 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Following the Thunder, the Heat will host Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic on Friday in Miami, Florida. 

At home, they are 10-6 in 16 games. 

As for the Thunder, they are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 24-11 record in their first 35 games. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently beat Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards by a score of 136-128. 

Following the Heat, the Thunder will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday evening in Oklahoma City.
