Jimmy Butler's Injury Status For Hawks-Heat Game

Jimmy Butler is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Miami Heat will host the Atlanta Hawks in Florida.  

For the game, the Heat will be without their best player, as Jimmy Butler has been ruled out.    

Butler also missed the team's last game, so this is his second straight out of the lineup.

Via The Heat on Thursday: "#ATLvsMIA INJURY UPDATE: Jimmy Butler (calf), Nikola Jovic (G-League assignment) & Cole Swider (G-League two way) have all been ruled out of tomorrow night’s game vs the Hawks."

Butler has played in 23 games so far this season and is averaging 21.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range.   

The Heat are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 16-12 record in their first 28 games. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the Magic (in Orlando) by a score of 115-106. 

Tyler Herro led the way with 28 points, eight rebounds and seven assists while shooting 10/17 from the field and 4/5 from the three-point range in 36 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Hawks, the Heat will host Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday evening. 

As for the Hawks, they are the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 12-15 record in their first 27 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and most recently defeated the Houston Rockets (in Texas) by a score of 134-127.
