UPDATE: Joel Embiid's Current Injury Status For 76ers-Hornets Game

Joel Embiid is on the injury report for Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will face off against the Charlotte Hornets in North Carolina. 

For the game, the 76ers could be without their best player, as 2023 MVP Joel Embiid is on the injury report.

Embiid has played in 30 games and is averaging 35.1 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.9 blocks per contest while shooting 53.8% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range.  

The 76ers are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 27-13 record in their first 40 games. 

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 6-4 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the 76ers beat the Orlando Magic (in Florida) by a score of 124-109. 

In 31 minutes of playing time, Embiid had 36 points, seven rebounds, two assists and four steals while shooting 12/22 from the field and 1/2 from the three-point range.

Following the Hornets, the 76ers will return home to host the San Antonio Spurs on Monday evening. 

As for the Hornets, they are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 9-30 record in their first 39 games.  

They are 2-8 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Spurs by a score of 124-120. 

Four players on the team scored 20+ points. 

Following the 76ers, the Hornets will travel to Minnesota to face off against Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves at the Target Center on Monday evening.
