Joel Embiid's Injury Status For Kings-76ers Game

Joel Embiid is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will host the Sacramento Kings in Pennsylvania. 

For the game, the 76ers will be without their best player, as 2023 MVP Joel Embiid has been ruled out.  

Embiid has missed each of the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of the lineup.

Embiid has played in 27 games and is averaging 34.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest while shooting 53.5% from the field and 36.0% from the three-point range.  

The 76ers are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 23-13 record in their first 36 games.  

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are 5-5 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the 76ers lost to Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks (in overtime) by a score of 139-132. 

Following the Kings, they will remain at home to host Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets on Monday afternoon. 

In Philadelphia, the 76ers are 13-6 in 19 games. 

As for the Kings, they are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 23-14 record in their first 37 games. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Kings beat the Charlotte Hornets by a score of 123-98. 

Following the 76ers, they will visit Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday evening in Wisconsin.
