UPDATE: Jrue Holiday's Injury Status For Hawks-Celtics Game

Jrue Holiday is on the injury report for Sunday's game.

UPDATE: Jrue Holiday has been ruled out.

On Sunday evening, the Boston Celtics will host the Atlanta Hawks in Massachusetts.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as 2021 NBA Champion Jrue Holiday is on the injury report.

Holiday missed the team's last game against the Orlando Magic (the Celtics lost by a score of 113-96).

Via Underdog NBA: "Jrue Holiday (ankle) questionable for Sunday."

Holiday has played in 15 games so far this season and is averaging 12.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 42.0% from the field and 33.8% from the three-point range.

The Celtics are 12-4 in their first 16 games, which has them as the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 7-3 over their previous ten games and a perfect 6-0 at home in Boston.

Holiday is in his first season with Boston after getting traded (via the Milwaukee Bucks) over the offseason.

He is a two-time NBA All-Star and has also played for the New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers (in addition to the Celtics and Bucks).

Following the Hawks, the Celtics will play their next game against the Chicago Bulls (at home) on Tuesday.

As for the Hawks, they are 8-7 in their first 15 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and most recently defeated the Washington Wizards (on the road) by a score of 136-108.

Trae Young led the way with 26 points, six rebounds, ten assists and two steals.
