Karl-Anthony Towns' Injury Status For Timberwolves-Kings Game

Karl-Anthony Towns is on the injury report for Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in California to face off against the Sacramento Kings. 

For the game, the Timberwolves will be without one of their best players, as Karl-Anthony Towns has been ruled out.

Towns had played in all 27 games so far this season and is averaging 22.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest while shooting 51.7% from the field and 42.1% from the three-point range.  

The Timberwolves are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 21-6 record in their first 27 games. 

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the Los Angeles Lakers by a score of 118-111. 

In 33 minutes of playing time, Towns had 21 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 7/16 from the field and 2/6 from the three-point range. 

John Krawczynski of The Athletic reported more details on Towns. 

Via Krawczynski on Friday: "I’m told that KAT’s absence tomorrow is precautionary and he is not expected to miss extended time. Just working through some soreness. Wolves don’t play again until Tuesday"

As for the Kings, they are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 17-10 record in their first 27 games. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Phoenix Suns by a score of 120-105.
