Kevin Durant's Official Status For Suns-Lakers Game

Kevin Durant has been ruled out for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Phoenix Suns will be in California to face off with the Los Angeles Lakers.

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as Kevin Durant has been ruled out due to injury management.

Underdog NBA: "Kevin Durant (injury management) ruled out Friday."

The 13-time NBA All-Star was traded (via the Brooklyn Nets) in February and is a perfect 8-0 in the eight games, he has played with the Suns.

In those games, Durant is averaging 26.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest.

He's also shooting a sensational 57.0% from the field and 53.7% from the three-point range.

Right now, the Suns are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 45-35 record in 80 games.

They are in the middle of a seven-game winning streak and are 7-3 in their last ten games.

That said, the Suns have struggled on the road, going just 17-23 in the 40 games they have played outside of Arizona (this will be their final road game of the 2022-23 regular season).

As for the Lakers, they are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 41-39 record in 80 games.

They are 7-3 in their last ten games and 21-18 in the 39 games they have hosted on their home floor in Los Angeles, California.

Last season, the Suns lost in the second round of the NBA Playoffs to the Dallas Mavericks, while the Lakers went 33-49 and missed the postseason.
