Kevin Huerter's Injury Status For Kings-Wizards Game

Kevin Huerter has been ruled out for Saturday's game.

On Saturday night, the Sacramento Kings will be in Washington, D.C., to face off with the Washington Wizards.  

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as Kevin Huerter has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury.

The former Maryland star is in the middle of a productive season with averages of 15.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 66 games.  

He is also shooting 48.7% from the field and 40.8% from the three-point range. 

In addition, Huerter has helped the Kings have their best season since 2006 (the last time they made the NBA Playoffs). 

Right now, they are tied with the Memphis Grizzlies for the second seed in the Western Conference and have a 42-27 record in 69 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 8-2 in their last ten games. 

On the road, the Kings are 21-13 in the 34 games they have played outside of Sacramento, California. 

Huerter had spent the first four seasons of his career on the Atlanta Hawks before getting traded over the offseason. 

As for the Wizards, they are tied with the Indiana Pacers for the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference and have a 32-38 record in 70 games. 

They are 4-6 in their last ten games and 16-17 in the 33 games they have hosted on their home floor in Washington, D.C. 

Last season, they missed the playoffs.
