On Sunday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks will host the Atlanta Hawks in Wisconsin.

They come into the night with a 1-0 record after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 118-117 in their first game on Thursday evening.

For Sunday's showdown with the Hawks, the Bucks will be without one of their best players, as Khris Middleton has been ruled out.

Via Eric Nehm of The Athletic on Saturday: "Bucks coach Adrian Griffin said everyone participated in today's practice, but Khris Middleton will not be available for tomorrow's game against the Hawks.

He is expected to play again in the second leg of the back-to-back against the Heat on Monday."

Middleton played in their victory over the 76ers and had six points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals in 16 minutes of playing time.

He is coming off a year where he averaged 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists per contest while shooting 43.6% from the field and 31.5% from the three-point range in 33 regular season games.

The Bucks were the first seed in the Eastern Conference but lost in the first round of the NBA playoffs to the Miami Heat (in five games).

As for the Hawks, they are 0-2 in their first two games and coming off a 126-120 loss to the New York Knicks (at home) on Friday.

Last year, they were the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference and lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in six games).
