The Lakers come into the night with a 34-37 record in 71 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.

They are just a half-game back of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder, who are all tied for the eighth seed.

Over the last ten games, the Lakers have gone 5-5, and they are in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

At home, they have been solid, going 18-17 in the 35 games they have hosted in Los Angeles, California.

With just 11 games left in the regular season, every single night is important in order to solidify a play-in tournament (or NBA Playoff) spot.

Last season, the Lakers went 33-49 and missed the playoffs, but they also won the NBA Championship in 2020 (and lost in the first round in 2021).

As for the Magic, they are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 29-42 record in 71 games.

They are 4-6 in their last ten games and 13-23 in the 36 games they have played on the road away from Orlando, Florida.

The Magic are 4.5 games back of the Chicago Bulls for the final play-in tournament spot.
