UPDATE: LaMelo Ball's Current Injury Status For Hornets-Spurs Game

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported an update on LaMelo Ball.

On Friday evening, the Charlotte Hornets will be in Texas to face off against the San Antonio Spurs.  

For the game, LaMelo Ball is listed as questionable on the injury report, but ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported a positive update.  

Via Wojnarowski: "Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball — out since late November with an ankle sprain — is expected to return vs. the San Antonio Spurs tonight, sources tell ESPN. Ball participated in shootaround this morning."

Ball has played in 15 games and is averaging 24.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 44.3% from the field and 38.8% from the three-point range. 

He will likely provide a significant boost to the Hornets, who are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with an 8-27 record in their first 35 games. 

They are 1-9 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak. 

Most recently, the Hornets lost to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 123-98. 

Following the Spurs, they will visit the Miami Heat on Sunday in Florida. 

The Hornets have a 4-14 record in the 18 games they have played away from North Carolina. 

As for the Spurs, they are the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with a 6-30 record in their first 36 games. 

They are 2-8 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Detroit Pistons by a score of 130-108. 

Following the Hornets, the Spurs will host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
