LaMelo Ball's Official Injury Status For Hornets-76ers Game

LaMelo Ball is on the injury report for Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the Charlotte Hornets will face off against the Philadelphia 76ers in Pennsylvania.  

For the game, the Hornets will remain without their best player, as LaMelo Ball has been ruled out. 

The 2022 NBA All-Star has missed each of the previous 24 games, so this will be his 25th straight out of the lineup.  

Via Charlotte Hornets PR: "LaMelo Ball (R Ankle), Seth Curry (R Ankle), Cody Martin (L Ankle), Bryce McGowens (R Knee) and Mark Williams (Low Back) are out."

Ball has only appeared in 22 games but is averaging an outstanding 23.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 43.3% from the field and 35.5% from the three-point range. 

The Hornets are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 17-50 record in 67 games. 

They have gone 2-8 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Phoenix Suns (at home) by a score of 107-96. 

Following the 76ers, the Hornets will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they visit the Orlando Magic in Florida. 

As for the 76ers, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 36-30 record in 66 games. 

They have gone 3-7 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak. 

Most recently, the 76ers lost to the Milwaukee Bucks (on the road) by a score of 114-105. 

Following the Hornets, the 76ers will play their next game on Monday evening when they host the Miami Heat.
