UPDATE: LeBron James' Injury Status For Lakers-Grizzlies Game

LeBron James is on the injury report for Sunday's game.

UPDATE: LeBron James is available.

On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers will be in Tennessee to face off with the Memphis Grizzlies for Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.

For the game, LeBron James is on the injury report.

That said, the four-time NBA Champion is listed as probable, so he should be in the starting lineup.

Underdog NBA: "LeBron James (foot) probable for Sunday."

James had a sensational regular season with averages of 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per contest in 55 games while shooting 50.0% from the field.

At 38, he is still among the ten best players in the league.

In 2020, James led the Lakers to the NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.

That said, they are coming off a season where they went just 33-49 and missed the playoffs.

This year, the Lakers were able to finish as the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 43-39 record.

They went 8-2 over their final ten games and are in the middle of a three-game winning streak (including Tuesday's play-in tournament game against the Minnesota Timberwolves).

As for the Grizzlies, they are the second seed in the west and had a 51-31 record.

Over the final ten games, they went 6-4, and they are an outstanding 35-6 in the 41 games they have hosted on their home floor in Memphis.

Last year, the Grizzlies were also the second seed, and they lost to the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the playoffs.
