UPDATE: Luka Doncic's Current Injury Status For Mavs-Celtics Game

Luka Doncic is on the injury report for Friday's game.

UPDATE: Luka Doncic was at shootaround on Friday morning (h/t Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News).   

On Friday evening, the Dallas Mavericks will be in Massachusetts to face off against Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics.   

For the game, the Mavs could be without their best player, as All-Star Luka Doncic is on the injury report. 

Via ESPN's Tim MacMahon on Thursday: "Mavs star Luka Doncic is listed as questionable for Friday’s game in Boston due to a left ankle sprain. He rolled the ankle in last night’s win over the Raptors but stayed in the game, finishing with a 30-11-16 line."

Doncic is in the middle of another incredible season with averages of 34.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 49.4% from the field and 38.0% from the three-point range in 51 games. 

The Mavs are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 34-25 record in 59 games. 

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Toronto Raptors by a score of 136-125. 

Following the Celtics, the Mavs will return home to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday afternoon in Texas. 

As for the Celtics, they are the best team in the NBA and the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 46-12 record in 58 games. 

They are in the middle of a nine-game winning streak and most recently beat the 76ers by a score of 117-99. 

Following Dallas, the Celtics will host the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon.
