Luka Doncic is on the injury report for Friday's game.

FINAL UPDATE: Luka Doncic has been ruled out.

UPDATE: Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Luka Doncic will likely play.

On Friday night, the Dallas Mavericks will be in California to face off with the Sacramento Kings.

The Mavs have played the last three games without their best player Luka Doncic, but he could play against the Kings.

Doncic is currently listed as questionable.

Underdog NBA: "Luka Doncic (heel) questionable for Friday."

The superstar forward is in the middle of a tremendous season with averages of 33.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.2 assists per contest (while shooting 50.4% from the field).

With the way he has played, there is a good chance that Doncic could end up as a finalist for the 2023 MVP Award.

In addition, the Mavs recently traded for Kyrie Irving, and he played his first game with the team on Wednesday night.

The NBA Champion guard had 24 points, four rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 37 minutes of playing time (leading the Mavs to a 110-104 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers).

Irving and Doncic could potentially make up the best backcourt in the entire NBA.

Right now, the Mavs are tied with the Clippers for the fourth seed in the Western Conference and have a 30-26 record in 56 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and 11-17 in the 28 games they have played on the road.

As for the Kings, they are the third seed in the west with a 31-23 record in 54 games and have gone 16-11 in 27 games at home.
