Luka Doncic's Official Injury Status For Mavs-Timberwolves Game

Luka Doncic is on the injury report for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Dallas Mavericks will face off against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.  

For the game, they will be without their best player, as five-time NBA All-Star Luka Doncic has been ruled out.  

Via Underdog NBA: "Luka Doncic (ankle) ruled out for Wednesday."

Doncic is in the middle of another fantastic season and has averages of 34.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, 9.6 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 48.9% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point range in 40 games. 

The Mavs are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 26-21 record in their first 47 games. 

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently beat Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic by a score of 131-129.  

In 43 minutes of playing time, Doncic had 45 points, nine rebounds, 15 assists and two steals while shooting 12/23 from the field and 3/8 from the three-point range. 

Following the Timberwolves, the Mavs will return home to host Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday evening in Dallas.

On the road, they are 12-9 in 21 games, while they are 14-12 in 26 games at home. 

As for the Timberwolves, they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 33-14 record in 47 games.  

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 107-101. 

Following Wednesday's showdown with Dallas, the Timberwolves will remain at home to host the Magic on Friday evening.
