UPDATE: Rudy Gobert is available.

On Friday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves are hosting the Denver Nuggets for Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as Rudy Gobert is on the injury report.

Underdog NBA: "Rudy Gobert (back) questionable for Friday."

The three-time NBA All-Star had 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one block in Game 2.

This season, he averaged a very productive 13.4 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.4 blocks per contest while shooting 65.9% from the field.

Gobert is in his first season playing for the Timberwolves after spending nine seasons with the Utah Jazz.

He helped lead the Jazz to the NBA Playoffs in each of the last five seasons.

Currently, the Timberwolves are in an 0-2 hole after losing the first two games of the series on the road in Colorado.

They have been solid on their home floor, going 23-18 in the 41 games they have hosted at the Target Center.

Therefore, the Timberwolves should have a chance to make the series interesting.

They finished the year with a 42-40 record, which got them the eighth seed in the Western Conference (after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder in the play-in tournament).

As for the Nuggets, they are the first seed and went 53-29 record during the regular season.

They have one of the most talented rosters in the league and could end up making a deep run.

Whoever wins the series will face off with either the Los Angeles Clippers or Phoenix Suns in the second round.
