Two Phoenix Suns Stars Limited In Practice Due To Injury

Devin Booker and Bradley Beal (Phoenix Suns) were limited in Sunday's practice.

The Phoenix Suns will play their first game of the regular season on October 24 when they visit the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

On Sunday, the team held practice, but Devin Booker and Bradley Beal were both limited participants.

Via Kellan Olson of EmpireOfTheSuns: "Frank Vogel limited both Devin Booker (sore toe) and Bradley Beal (back tightness) in practice today. Said they should be fine. Wouldn’t expand on Booker’s toe."

Booker is coming off another sensational season where he averaged 27.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 49.4% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point range.

He was the 13th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and has spent his entire eight-year career with Phoenix.

Meanwhile, Beal is coming off a year where he averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range.

He had spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Washington Wizards but was traded to the Suns over the offseason.

The Suns had been on a ten-year playoff drought before making the NBA playoffs in 2021 (they made the Finals).

In each of the previous three seasons, the Suns have made the playoffs, and they are coming off a year where they were the fourth seed in the Western Conference.

They beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round but lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second.
