Victor Wembanyama's Official Injury Status For Spurs-Warriors Game

Victor Wembanyama is on the injury report for Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the San Antonio Spurs will be in San Francisco to face off against the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center.

For the game, the Spurs will remain without their best player, as Victor Wembanyama has been ruled out.

Wembanyama also missed the team's last game, so this will be his second straight out of the lineup.

Via Jeff McDonald of The San Antonio Express-News on Friday: "Spurs will officially rule out Victor Wembanyama tomorrow vs Warriors. He is remaining in San Antonio to nurse a right ankle sprain.

He is expected to be a full go for Monday's rematch with Golden State in SA."

Wembanyama is having an excellent rookie season and is averaging 20.7 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.4 blocks per contest while shooting 46.9% from the field and 33.5% from the three-point range in 56 games.

Despite Wembanyama's stellar play, the Spurs are in rebuilding mode and enter the evening with a 13-50 record in 63 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference.

The Spurs are 3-7 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, they lost to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 131-129.

Following Saturday's game, the Spurs will host the Warriors on Monday evening in San Antonio.

As for the Warriors, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 33-29 record in 62 games.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games.
