UPDATE: Zion Williamson's Current Injury Status For Bulls-Pelicans Game

Zion Williamson is on the injury report for Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls in Louisiana.    

For the game, the Pelicans could be without one of their best players, as 2021 NBA All-Star Zion Williamson is on the injury report.

Williamson has played in 46 games and is averaging 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 58.0% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range. 

The Pelicans are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-23 record in 57 games. 

They are 8-2 over their last ten games but most recently lost to the Miami Heat by a score of 106-95. 

In 36 minutes of playing time, Williamson had 23 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and one steal while shooting 9/22 from the field. 

Following the Bulls, the Pelicans will travel to Manhattan for a showdown with Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday evening. 

As for the Bulls, they are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 26-30 record in 56 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 5-5 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Bulls lost to Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics by a score of 129-112. 

Following the Pelicans, they will return home to host Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday evening at the United Center in Illinois.
