UPDATE: Zion Williamson's Current Injury Status For Heat-Pelicans Game

Zion Williamson is on the injury report for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the Miami Heat in Louisiana. 

For the game, the Pelcians could be without one of their best players, as 2021 NBA All-Star Zion Williamson is on the injury report.

Williamson has played in 45 games and is averaging 22.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 58.5% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range. 

The Pelicans are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-22 record in 56 games. 

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and have gone 8-2 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Pelicans beat the Houston Rockets by a score of 127-105. 

In 35 minutes of playing time, Williamson had 27 points, three rebounds, nine assists, two steals and one block while shooting 12/21 from the field. 

Following the Heat, the Pelicans will remain at home to host the Chicago Bulls on Sunday evening in New Orleans. 

As for the Heat, they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 30-25 record in 55 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and have gone 6-4 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Heat beat the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 109-104, and Bam Adebayo led the way with 23 points and 14 rebounds. 

Following New Orleans, they will visit the Sacramento Kings on Monday evening in California.
