UPDATE: Zion Williamson's Current Injury Status For Pelicans-Clippers Game

Zion Williamson is on the injury report for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will be in California to face off against Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers.   

For the game, the Pelicans could be without one of their best players, as 2021 NBA All-Star Zion Williamson is on the injury report.

Williamson has played in 40 games and is averaging 22.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest while shooting 59.0% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range.  

The Pelicans are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 29-21 record in 50 games.  

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a three-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Pelicans beat the Toronto Raptors by a score of 138-100. 

In 22 minutes of playing time, Williamson had 16 points, three rebounds, five assists and one block while shooting 5/8 from the field. 

Following the Clippers, the Pelicans will remain in Los Angeles for a showdown with LeBron James and the Lakers on Friday evening. 

As for the Clippers, they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 34-15 record in 49 games. 

They are 9-1 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a four-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Clippers beat the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 149-144. 

Following New Orleans, they will remain at home to host the Detroit Pistons on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles, California.
