UPDATE: Zion Williamson's Current Injury Status For Wizards-Pelicans Game

Zion Williamson is on the injury report for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the Washington Wizards in Louisiana.  

For the game, the Pelicans could be without one of their best players, as 2021 NBA All-Star Zion Williamson is on the injury report.

Williamson has played in 43 games and is averaging 22.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 58.1% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range. 

The Pelicans are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 32-22 record in 54 games.  

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 6-4 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Pelicans beat the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 96-87. 

In 35 minutes of playing time, Williamson had 14 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block while shooting 4/13 from the field. 

Following the Wizards, the Pelicans will play their next game on February 22 when they host the Houston Rockets in New Orleans. 

As for the Wizards, they are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 9-44 record in 53 games. 

They are in the middle of a seven-game losing streak and are 2-8 over their last ten games.  

Most recently, the Wizards lost to the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 112-104. 

Following the Pelicans, they will play their next game on February 22 when they visit the Denver Nuggets in Colorado.
