UPDATE: Zion Williamson's Current Status For Pelicans-Cavs Game

Zion Williamson is on the injury report for Thursday's game.

UPDATE: Zion Williamson has been ruled out. 

On Thursday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will be in Ohio to face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers.  

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as Zion Williamson is listed as questionable on the injury report due to an illness. 

Williamson has played in 23 games so far this season and is averaging 22.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 57.8% from the field and 28.6% from the three-point range.   

The Pelicans are 16-12 in their first 28 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 115-113. 

In 25 minutes of playing time, Williamson had 13 points, three rebounds and four assists while shooting 5/12 from the field. 

Following the Cavs, the Pelicans will play their next game on Saturday evening when they host Dillon Brooks and the Houston Rockets in New Orleans. 

As for the Cavs, they are 16-12 in their first 28 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Cavs beat the Utah Jazz by a score of 124-116. 

Sam Merrill led the way with 27 points. 

Following the Pelicans, they will play their next game on Saturday when they visit the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
