Zion Williamson's Official Status For Pelicans-Mavs Game

Zion Williamson is on the injury report for Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will be in Texas to face off against the Dallas Mavericks.    

For the game, the Pelicans will be without one of their best players, as Zion Williamson has been ruled out.

Williamson has played in 32 games and is averaging 22.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per contest while shooting 58.4% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.    

The Pelicans are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 23-16 record in their first 39 games.  

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 125-113. 

In 35 minutes of playing time, Williamson had 30 points, six rebounds, five assists and one block while shooting 13/22 from the field.  

Following Saturday's game, the Pelicans and Mavs will face off (again) on Monday afternoon in Dallas. 

On the road, the Pelicans are 11-8 in the 19 games they have played away from New Orleans. 

As for the Mavs, they are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 23-16 record in their first 39 games.  

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the New York Knicks by a score of 128-124. 

Kyrie Irving led the way with 44 points, four rebounds, ten assists and two steals while shooting 15/26 from the field and 6/10 from the three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time.
