Isaiah Thomas was once among the best players in the NBA.

In 2016 and 2017, Thomas made the NBA All-Star Game in back-to-back seasons while playing for the Boston Celtics.

He most recently played in the league during the 2021 season when he appeared in 22 games for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets.

That year, Thomas averaged 8.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest while shooting 40.1% from the field and 33.7% from the three-point range.

Currently, Thomas remains a free agent that is available to be signed by any team in the league.

On Wednesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that All-Star point guard Damian Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in a three-team deal with the Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns.

Following the trade, Hoop Central made a post on X sharing what the new Bucks roster looks like.

Via Hoop Central: "Bucks new look Roster:

Damian Lillard

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Brook Lopez

Bobby Portis

Khris Middleton

Jae Crowder

Pat Connaughton

Malik Beasley

MarJon Beauchamp

Andre Jackson"

Thomas quoted Hoop Central, and his post had over 33,000 likes and 7.6 million impressions in less than six hours.

Via Thomas: "Need a backup??"

At this point, Thomas could likely be signed for the veteran's minimum or a non-guaranteed deal.

Therefore, he could be a good option for the Bucks.

Over 11 seasons in the NBA, the 34-year-old has career averages of 17.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 43.4% from the field and 36.2% from the three-point range in 550 regular season games (he has also appeared in 25 NBA playoff games).
