3x NBA Champion Is Still A Free Agent

Danny Green (Cleveland Cavaliers) is still a free agent on August 25.

Danny Green has been one of the best role players in NBA history.

The 14-year veteran has never been an All-Star, but he has had an exceptional impact on winning.

This past year, Green played in 11 regular season games for the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers.

He averaged 5.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 43.2% from the three-point range (he also appeared in four NBA playoff games with the Cavs).

This summer, Green became a free agent, and (on August 25) he still remains available to be signed by any team in the league.

At 36, Green has proven that he can still be a valuable player on a contending team's bench.

In addition to the Cavs and Grizzlies, he has also played for the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers.

His career averages are 8.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range in 830 regular season games (he has also appeared in an astonishing 169 NBA playoff games).

Green won two NBA Championships with the Spurs (and one with the Raptors).

As for the Cavs, they are coming off a year where they were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and made the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2018.

That said, they lost to Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks in the first round (in five games).
