3x NBA Champion Reportedly Signs With Philadelphia 76ers

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Philadelphia 76ers will sign three-time NBA Champion Danny Green.

Danny Green is coming off a year where he appeared in 11 regular season games for the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers with averages of 5.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 43.2% from the three-point range.

The former UNC star also played in four NBA playoff games with the Cavs, who lost in the first round to the New York Knicks.

This summer, Green became a free agent, and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that he will sign a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers

Via Wojnarowski: "Free agent G Danny Green has agreed on a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, agent Sam Permut of @RocNationSports tells ESPN."

In addition to the Cavs and Grizzlies, Green has also spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs (and 76ers).

His career averages are 8.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range in 830 regular season games.

Green has also appeared in an astonishing 169 NBA playoff games and has won three titles with the Spurs (2014), Raptors (2019) and Lakers (2020).

As for the 76ers, they are coming off a year where they were the third seed in the Eastern Conference.

They swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the NBA playoffs but lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round (in seven games).

The 76ers have a talented roster but have been unable to get to the Conference Finals since 2001
