Kemba Walker was once among the best point guards in the NBA.

This past year, the four-time All-Star played nine games for the Dallas Mavericks and averaged 8.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field.

After getting waived by the Mavs during the middle of the season, no other team signed him.

Walker has been a free agent, and on Friday, AS Monaco Basket announced that they have signed the 33-year-old.

Following the club's announcement, ESPN also relayed the news.

Via ESPN: "Breaking: Kemba Walker has agreed to a deal with European club AS Monaco, the team announced."

Walker was initially the ninth pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of UConn and spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Charlotte Hornets.

With the Hornets, he made three All-Star Games and led them to the NBA playoffs twice.

Walker leads the Hornets in many all-time categories, including points, minutes and field goals.

He will go down as one of the best players to ever play for Charlotte.

In addition to the Hornets and Mavs, Walker has also spent time playing for the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks.

With the Celtics, he made another All-Star Game and helped the team reach the 2020 Eastern Conference Finals, which is the furthest he has gone in the postseason.

His career averages are an impressive 19.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 41.8% from the field and 36.0% from the three-point range in 750 regular season games.
