Joel Embiid's Unbelievable Tweet After Being Named 2023 NBA MVP

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid sent out a tweet after winning the 2023 NBA MVP Award.

On Tuesday evening, Philadelphia 76ers superstar center Joel Embiid was officially named the 2023 MVP of the NBA.

The 29-year-old averaged a sensational 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 54.8% from the field in 66 regular season games.

He also led the 76ers to the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 54-28 record.

After winning the award, Embiid sent out an unbelievable tweet that went viral.

The former Kansas star posted a tweet in 2014 where he predicted he would one day win the MVP.

Embiid quote tweeted his old post and wrote: "SPOKE IT INTO EXISTENCE"

The 76ers are currently in the middle of a second-round playoff series with the Boston Celtics.

They swept the Brooklyn Nets in the first round and won Game 1 against the Celtics (on the road in Boston) on Monday night by a score of 119-115.

However, Embiid has missed each of the last two games with a knee injury.

The former Kansas star was the third pick in the 2014 NBA Draft but missed the first two seasons due to injury.

He is in his seventh season playing and has averaged at least 20.2 points per contest every year.

In each of the last six seasons, Embiid has been an All-Star (and the 76ers have made the NBA Playoffs).

Game 2 of the series with the Celtics will be on Wednesday night back in Boston, and he is listed as doubtful on the injury report.
