Anthony Davis Can Make NBA History 5 Times In Suns-Lakers Game

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis only needs 16 points to move up five spots on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will host Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns in California.

During the game, eight-time All-Star Anthony Davis will make NBA history, as he is just two points away from moving up on the all-time scoring list.

The former Kentucky star currently ranks 134th with 15,578 points, and he only needs one basket to move ahead of Rashard Lewis (15,579) and Hall of Famer Artis Gilmore (15,579) for 132nd.

Davis is averaging 25.8 points per contest, and the only game he didn't score two points in was one he left early due to an illness.

In addition to passing Lewis and Gilmore, Davis will also have a chance to move ahead of Walt Frazier (15,581), Terry Porter (15,586) and Lou Williams (15,593).

The 30-year-old only needs 16 points to go from 134th to 129th in one night.

He continues to move up the list at a fast pace and has a good chance to finish his career as one of the top 50 scorers of all time.

Davis is in his fourth season with the Lakers and helped them win the NBA Championship over the Miami Heat in 2020.

Right now, they are 35-37 in 72 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference (a half-game back of the tie for the eighth seed).

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and a solid 19-17 in the 36 games they have hosted on their home floor in Los Angeles, California.
