Anthony Davis Made Los Angeles Lakers History Against Hornets

Anthony Davis made Los Angeles Lakers history during Monday's game.

On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Charlotte Hornets (in North Carolina) by a score of 124-118. 

Anthony Davis was fantastic and put up 26 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists and three blocks while shooting 12/16 from the field in 37 minutes of playing time.

His stat line also made team history.

Davis is in the middle of another incredible season with averages of 24.7 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.9 blocks per contest while shooting 55.4% from the field and 29.8% from the three-point range in 48 games.

He is in his 12th season in the NBA and his fifth playing for Los Angeles. 

The Lakers completed their six-game road trip with a 4-2 record and now have a few days off before hosting the Denver Nuggets on Thursday in Los Angeles.

They are currently the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 27-25 record in 52 games. 

Over the last ten games, the Lakers have gone 6-4, and they are in the middle of a three-game winning streak. 

As for the Hornets, their struggles continued, and they are in the middle of an eight-game losing streak.

They are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 10-39 record in their first 49 games. 

Following the Lakers, the Hornets will host the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday evening.
