Anthony Davis Made NBA History In Timberwolves-Lakers Game

Anthony Davis made NBA history in Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves in California. 

The Lakers won the game by a score of 120-109, and LeBron James led the way with 29 points. 

Anthony Davis had a sensational night and finished with 27 points, 25 rebounds, five assists, seven steals and three blocks while shooting 9/17 from the field in 39 minutes of playing time. 

His stat line also made NBA history. 

Via NBA History: "Anthony Davis becomes the 1st player in NBA history to record 25+ points, 25+ rebounds, 5+ assists, and 5+ steals in a game!"

Davis is having another fantastic season with averages of 24.8 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 blocks per contest while shooting 55.5% from the field and 25.7% from the three-point range in 62 games.  

The Lakers improved to 36-30 in 66 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak. 

In addition, the Lakers are now an impressive 24-11 in 35 games on their home floor. 

Following the Timberwolves, they will visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday evening.  

As for the Timberwolves, they dropped to 44-21 in 65 games, which has them as the third seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and have gone 5-5 over their last ten games. 

Following the Lakers, the Timberwolves will play the Clippers on Tuesday evening in Los Angeles.
