Anthony Edwards Makes NBA History In Timberwolves-Nuggets Game 2

Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Anthony Edwards made NBA history in Wednesday night's playoff game against the Denver Nuggets.

Anthony Edwards is one of the best scorers in the NBA and he proved that during the regular season, finishing the year ranking 16th in points per game and sixth in total points scored.

Taking on the Denver Nuggets in the first-round of the playoffs, the Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star had himself a monumental performance in the Timberwolves' Game 2 loss, as Edwards went for 41 points on 14-23 shooting, 6-10 from three-point range.

The 21-year-old shooting guard made NBA history with this performance, as he became the youngest player in league history (21 years, 258 days) to record at least 40 points and five made threes in a playoff game.

Despite losing, this was truly one of Edwards' best offensive performances ever, as he single-handedly kept his team in the game during the second half.

Anthony Edwards also joined LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Ja Morant and Tracy McGrady as the only other 21-year-olds to ever score 40 points in a playoff game.

Wednesday's performance was the first time Edwards eclipsed the 40-point mark since scoring 44 points on January 8th against the Houston Rockets

Now down 0-2 to the Nuggets, the Timberwolves will head home for the next two games of this series, as they will look to use their home floor to their advantage and possibly even this series up at 2-2 before heading back to Denver for Game 5 next week.

Game 3 between the Timberwolves and Nuggets will take place on Friday, April 21 in Target Center.
