The Boston Celtics have had an excellent season and are the best team in the NBA, with a 51-14 record in 65 games.
Jaylen Brown, who is the team's second-best player (behind Jayson Tatum), is having an extremely productive year.
The All-Star forward is averaging 22.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 34.9% from the three-point range in 59 games.
Recently, the former Cal star liked a post on X that caught a lot of fan's attention and went viral (h/t NBACentral).
The post that Brown liked was from GreenRunsDeep (@CelticsGRD).
GreenRunsDeep wrote: "If Jaylen Brown was the #1 on a team he would average over 30 ppg and be in the MVP conversation."
Brown was the third pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and is in his eighth season in the league (all with Boston).
He has helped lead the franchise to the Eastern Conference Finals five times, and they reached the NBA Finals in 2022.
However, it's fair to say that Brown has never been the team's number one option.
During his rookie year, the Celtics were led by Isaiah Thomas and then Kyrie Irving for the next two seasons.
Following Thomas and Irving, Tatum became a superstar.
The Celtics have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a three-game winning streak.
They will play their next game on Thursday evening when they host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns in Boston.
