Boston Celtics Make A Roster Move Before Hawks Game

The Boston Celtics have recalled a player from the G League.

On Friday afternoon in Florida, the Boston Celtics lost to the Orlando Magic by a score of 113-96.

They will return home to host Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday evening in Massachusetts.

Before the game (on Saturday), the Celtics announced that they had made a roster move by recalling Jordan Walsh from the G League.

Via The Celtics: "We have recalled Jordan Walsh from Maine."

Walsh was the 38th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Arkansas.

The 19-year-old played one season of college basketball and averaged 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 43.3% from the field and 27.8% from the three-point range in 36 games.

Walsh has yet to make his NBA debut for the Celtics, but has played in the G League for the Maine Celtics.

In their most recent game, he had 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block while shooting 5/11 from the field and 2/6 from the three-point range in 31 minutes of playing time.

As for the Celtics, they are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 12-4 record in their first 16 games.

They are 7-3 over their previous ten games and after the Hawks, they will host DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday evening.

On the road, the Celtics are 6-4 in ten games, and they are a perfect 6-0 at home in Boston.

Last year, they lost to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.
