Former Boston Celtics NBA 1st Round Pick Is A Free Agent

Romeo Langford is currently a free agent.

Romeo Langford most recently played in the NBA when he appeared in 43 games (21 starts) for the San Antonio Spurs last season.

The 24-year-old averaged 6.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 46.7% from the field and 26.2% from the three-point range.

Over the offseason, he signed with the Utah Jazz but was waived before the start of the regular season.

Langford has remained an NBA free agent and is currently playing in the G League for the Salt Lake City Stars.

He is averaging 12.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest while shooting 50.4% from the field and 44.0% from the three-point range in 15 games.

In addition, Langford has also appeared in 13 Showcase Cup games.

Since Langford is still so young, he could be a good addition to many teams.

The former Indiana Hoosiers star was initially the 14th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics and spent his first two and a half seasons with the franchise.

Over four seasons with the Celtics and Spurs, he has career averages of 4.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 43.0% from the field and 28.8% from the three-point range in 141 regular season games.

He has also appeared in 11 NBA playoff games (two starts).

If Langford doesn't get signed before the end of the regular season, he will be a name to watch over the summer, as he would be an excellent candidate to land a training camp deal.
