BREAKING: Boston Celtics Reportedly Change Starting Lineup For Game 6

According to Shams Charania and Jared Weiss of The Athletic, the Boston Celtics will make a lineup change for Game 6.

On Thursday evening, the Boston Celtics will be on the road in Pennsylvania to face the Philadelphia 76ers for Game 6 of their second-round playoff series.

For the game, the Celtics will reportedly change their starting lineup.

According to Jared Weiss and Shams Charania of The Athletic (and Stadium), the Celtics will start Robert Williams III.

Via Charania: "The Celtics are planning to start Robert Williams in tonight's potential elimination Game 6 against the 76ers, sources tell me. This would pair Williams and Al Horford in a bigger starting five alongside Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum."

The Celtics trail the 76ers 3-2, so a loss would be the end of their season.

Meanwhile, a victory would force a Game 7 back on their home floor in Boston (on Sunday).

Last year, the Celtics made the NBA Finals (and they have also been to the Eastern Conference Finals four times in the previous six seasons).

Williams III is in his fifth season in the league (all with the Celtics) and averaged 8.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 blocks per contest while shooting 74.7% from the field during the regular season.

This year, the Celtics finished as the second seed in the Eastern Conference and they beat the Atlanta Hawks in the first round in six games.

Originally, they had a 2-1 lead over the 76ers but have lost each of the last two games.

Whoever wins the series will face off against either the New York Knicks or the Miami Heat.
