Jaylen Martin went undrafted this past summer and has been playing in the G League for the Westchester Knicks.

He is averaging 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 54.3% from the field and 40.4% from the three-point range in 15 games (eight starts).

On Tuesday evening, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Martin will sign a two-way deal with the Brooklyn Nets

Via Charania: "The Brooklyn Nets are signing G League Westchester Knicks F Jaylen Martin to a two-way deal, agents Rich Gray and Deddrick Faison of Seven1 Sports & Ent. told @TheAthletic @Stadium. Martin is averaging 15 points, 4.5 rebounds and shooting 40% from 3 in G League regular season."

Instead of going to college, Martin played for Overtime Elite.

This past season, the 20-year-old averaged 14.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 steals per contest.

In November, Martin signed a two-way deal with the New York Knicks, but he was waived without appearing in an NBA game.

As for the Nets, they are currently the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 21-33 record in their first 54 games.

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and went into the All-Star break in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

On Monday, the Nets fired head coach Jacque Vaughn, and Kevin Ollie was named as the interim coach.

The Nets will return to action on Thursday evening when they visit RJ Barrett and the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena in Canada.
