On Wednesday evening, the Golden State Warriors are in Arizona facing off against the Phoenix Suns.

During the first half, Chris Paul got ejected, so they will be playing without one of their best players for the remainder of the evening.

The Suns had a 63-47 lead at halftime.

Anthony Slater of The Athletic provided more details on what happened to the Warriors (and Paul) at the end of the first half.

Via Slater: "Warriors hit with a 23-5 Suns run to close the first half in Phoenix. Ended with a Scott Foster triple technical. He gave Chris Paul two + ejection while the two engaged in conversation. History there. Steve Kerr given one for jumping up in defense of Paul. Warriors down 16."

Paul came into the evening with averages of 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 39.8% from the field and 32.8% from the three-point range in 15 games.

He is in his first season with Golden State after getting traded over the offseason.

The Warriors are 7-8 in their first 15 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.

They most recently defeated the Houston Rockets by a score of 121-116.

The victory snapped a six-game losing streak, and Paul had 15 points, six rebounds, 12 assists and two steals while shooting 4/7 from the field.

Following the Suns, the Warriors will host the San Antonio Spurs at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Friday evening.
