BREAKING: Cavs President Of Basketball Operations Reportedly Arrested

According to fox8news, Koby Altman (Cleveland Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations) was arrested on Friday.

UPDATE: According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cavs have released a statement.

Via Wojnarowski: "The Cavaliers issued a statement in response to President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman’s impaired driving charge on Friday night: “We are aware of an incident involving Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman. We are currently gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.”"

Koby Altman is currently the Head of Basketball Operations for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He was previously the General Manager (since 2017) but was promoted to his new role in 2022.

On Saturday morning, fox8news reported that Altman had been arrested on Friday evening.

Via fox8news: "The FOX 8 I-Team has learned Cleveland Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman was charged Friday night for impaired driving."

Altman has done an impressive job of running the Cavs, as they had been one of the worst teams in the league when LeBron James left the franchise after the 2018 season.

Last year, the Cavs made the NBA playoffs (for the first time since 2018) when they finished the regular season as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 51-31 record.

They lost to the New York Knicks in the first round (in five games), but the Cavs will still be seen as one of the best teams in the east going into next season.

Some of Altman's outstanding moves have been trading for Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Allen and drafting Darius Garland.

Mitchell is coming off his first year with the Cavs, where he averaged 28.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 38.6% from the three-point range in 68 regular season games.

Meanwhile, Garland and Allen were both NBA All-Stars during the 2022 season.

Garland (23) and Allen (25) are two of the best young players in the league.
