BREAKING: Detroit Pistons Player Suspended By NBA

The NBA suspended Isaiah Stewart.

On Thursday evening, the Detroit Pistons will be in Indianapolis for a matchup with the Indiana Pacers.   

Before the game, the NBA announced that Isaiah Stewart had been suspended for three games.  

Via NBA Communications: "The NBA announced today that Detroit Pistons forward-center Isaiah Stewart has been suspended three games without pay for initiating a physical altercation with Phoenix Suns forward-center Drew Eubanks on Feb. 14 before a game between the Pistons and Suns at Footprint Center in Phoenix. Stewart punched and pushed Eubanks during the altercation."

Stewart was the 16th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and is in his fourth season in the league (all with Detroit).   

He has played in 35 games this season and is averaging 11.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest while shooting 47.0% from the field and 37.4% from the three-point range.  

As for the Pistons, they have had a tough season and are the 15th seed (last place) in the Eastern Conference with an 8-46 record in 54 games.  

They are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are 3-7 over their last ten games. 

Following the Pacers, the Pistons will play their next game on Saturday evening when they host Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic in Michigan. 

At home, they are 4-23 in 27 games, and they are also 4-23 in the 27 games they have played on the road. 

As for the Pacers, they are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 31-25 record in 56 games.
