BREAKING: Detroit Pistons Reportedly Releasing 11-Year NBA Player

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Detroit Pistons will agree to a contract buyout with Mike Muscala.

Mike Muscala has played in 37 games for the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons this season.    

He is averaging 3.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 35.8% from the field and 31.8% from the three-point range.  

The 32-year-old was traded from the Wizards to the Pistons in January. 

On Tuesday evening, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Pistons and Muscala will agree to a contract buyout. 

Via Wojnarowski: "ESPN Sources: Detroit Pistons C Mike Muscala is finalizing a contract buyout, clearing the way for him to be eligible for the playoffs with his next team. Muscala has interest of a few contenders."

Muscala was the 44th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. 

In addition to the Pistons and Wizards, he has spent time with the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers over 11 seasons.

His career averages are 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 45.2% from the field and 37.6% from the three-point range in 532 regular season games. 

He has been an above-average three-point shooter and also appeared in 35 NBA playoff games. 

During the 2015 season, Muscala helped the Hawks reach the Eastern Conference Finals. 

As for the Pistons, they are the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 9-49 record in 58 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Chicago Bulls by a score of 105-95. 

Following the Bulls, the Pistons will host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday evening.
