BREAKING: Former NBA All-Star Reportedly Retiring From Basketball

Former NBA All-Star Goran Dragic, who had his best seasons with the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns, is reportedly retiring from basketball.

Goran Dragic most recently played in the NBA during the 2022-23 season when he was a member of the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks.

The 37-year-old averaged 6.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 35.9% from the three-point range in 58 games.  

On Saturday morning, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Dragic is retiring from basketball.   

Via Charania: "After 15 NBA seasons, Goran Dragic is retiring and will play a farewell game in Slovenia in August. The one-time All-Star and Most Improved Player of the Year played 946 NBA games for the Heat, Suns, Rockets, Raptors, Nets, Bulls and Bucks."

Dragic was the 45th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft and played 15 seasons in the league for the Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors.    

His career averages are 13.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest while shooting 45.9% from the field and 36.2% from the three-point range in 946 regular season games.  

Dragic was named to the All-NBA 3rd team in 2014 (as a member of the Suns) and made the 2018 NBA All-Star Game (as a member of the Heat). 

He has also played in 62 playoff games and helped the Heat reach the 2020 NBA Finals.
