BREAKING: Kevin Love Confirms What Team He Will Join

Kevin Love has confirmed that he will sign with the Miami Heat after being released by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

On Saturday, the Cleveland Cavaliers officially announced that they had agreed to a contract buyout with five-time NBA All-Star Kevin Love.

The former UCLA star had been in his ninth season playing for the franchise and will go down as one of the team's best players ever.

On Sunday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Love would sign with the Heat once he clears waivers.

Love has confirmed the news that he is going to the Heat.

Tristian Thompson's tweet: "Just spoke to my brother @kevinlove he’s confirmed with me that he’s taking his talents to south beach @MiamiHEAT This is a huge pick up for the heat Let’s go!!!"

Love's quote tweet: "Yes sir my brother!!! Thank you for letting me bounce all of this off of you. Heat Nation let’s go!!!"

Adding Love will be a significant addition to the Heat because they have struggled as a three-point shooting team this year.

They rank 28th in the NBA (33.4%), and even though Love is having a down season, he is one of the better shooters in the league.

Right now, he is averaging 8.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest (while shooting 35.4% from the three-point range).

However, he shot 39.2% from deep last season and over 37% in seven of his previous 14 seasons.

Love has also been to the NBA Finals four times, and he helped the Cavs win the 2016 NBA Championship over the Golden State Warriors (in a Game 7).

The Heat are currently the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-27 record in 59 games.
